Eric Getzel is an 11th grader at Scheck Hillel Community School, which he has attended since PK2. Being a great athlete, Eric has been on the school’s varsity football team since 9th grade, and on the volleyball team since 10th grade. He is an active participant in a variety of clubs on campus and is the president of Jewish Community Leadership Team (JCLT) at Scheck Hillel. He is also a madrich at the JCC for 3rd grade girls. These two leadership positions have helped Eric become passionate about helping others. The most prideful experience that Eric participates in is Best Buddies. Since freshman year, Eric has involved himself in this organization, increasing his role each year. Now in his junior year, other group members look up to Eric for support in helping the Best Buddies members. Eric looks forward to his future at Scheck Hillel and beyond, knowing that these experiences have molded a bright path ahead.
